Kwaidan Samurai Sunya (with Pablo Peppino)

Here’s a project that was talked about in 2011 with artist Pablo Peppino. “Kwaidan” is a Japanese word consisting of two kanji: 怪 (kai) meaning “strange, mysterious, rare or bewitching apparition” and 談 (dan) meaning “talk” or “recited narrative.”

This 80-100 page graphic novel will tell the tale of a cursed samurai–the last survivor of coastal invasion–as he sets forth to destroy a daemon born from the battle death agonies of a thousand warriors.
